Infra Red systems
For Hearing Assistance and Audio Description.
Following the introduction of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) in 2004, there has been a requirement for all public accessible buildings to explore ways in which they can provide facilities for their disabled patrons.
The WILLIAMS SOUND Infra Red equipment has proven extremely popular and we have now installed a large number of systems in auditoria for multiplexes and independent venues. The equipment is easy to install (particularly in retrofits) and simple for patrons to use. The sound quality is excellent and all the hardware is guaranteed for 5 years.
Applications include cinemas, schools, universities, theatres, courts, local government buildings and museums. A four channel system is also available where simultaneous translation is required.
There is a choice of receivers for users - headphones, body pack receivers and in-ear systems (stethoscopes). In addition, a Neck-loop is available, making the systems fully compatible with standard hearing aids.
We carry a wide selection of popular accessories, but the range available for Williams Sound is very comprehensive, so please contact the sales office for further details. We also offer an installation service and units can be hired for short term needs.

Multi-Channel “Slave” IR Emitter.
TX9 emitter is used as an addition to the WIRTX925 or the WIRTX90 to increase coverage for particularly large areas or for changeling room designs.
Operating on the 2.3-2.8 MHz bandwidth, the TX9 is less susceptible to radio and lighting interference. Each TX9 emitter can cover up to 28,000 sq. feet (2,600 sq. meters) in single-channel operation. The coverage area can be increased by daisy-chaining additional TX9 emitters.
Features:
- Extremely clear sound
- Supplied complete with all accessories: wall bracket, power supply, cables, connectors and mains lead
- No leakage between adjacent rooms
- Impervious to high efficiency lighting interference
