One of Sound Associates first cinema relationships, Sound Associates installed the very first Dolby processors for the first Star Wars film in 1977. CP850 (Atmos)

The Dolby® Atmos™ Cinema Processor CP850 brings Dolby Atmos audio playback capabilities to your digital cinema. It enables theatres to fulfill the Dolby Atmos promise of a more natural and enveloping sound experience, one that best matches the artistic intent of the filmmakers.

The Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor CP850 also supports Dolby Surround 7.1 and 5.1 formats and the Dolby consumer codecs commonly used for alternative content.

Every CP850 includes the Dolby Commissioning Service to ensure proper setup and playback performance in your theatre.

To connect the CP850 to legacy amplifiers, use the Dolby Atmos Interface DAC3202.
